IT Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing information technology and computer systems
2. Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
3. Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
4. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
5. Audit systems and assess their outcomes
6. Work with Customers and Product Consultants to capture and define requirements for new product features.
7. Carry out analysis of non-trivial Production issues where behaviour deviates from the norm and advise on resolution

Key Skills:

• Familiar with statistics/mathematics
• Develop thought leadership in solution design and delivery
• Capable of defining strategic road map for client benefits
• Proficiency in project management skills
• The candidate should be capable of attending workshops and distilling information to produce data models / map.
• The candidate should also have enough technical ability to carry out some of the implementation work during the build phase also. therefore the role will be a mixture of architecture and “hands on” – depending on the phase of the project
• Main skills needed are – good communication (written and verbal) skills, ability to work in a large team under tight deadlines, previous track record in having produced data model (conceptual, logical and physical). Familiarly with modelling tool ideal, but not essential
• From a technical point of view knowledge of SQL would be essential.
